Orphaned at three years old, this beautiful little girl fell into the abusive hands of her aunt. Violence would change the trajectory of her life and see her trafficked over international borders. After bravely testifying against her captors, Sandar came to Eden broken. In Eden’s safe and loving environment, Sandar learned to make the very jewellery that frees young women like her.

Against all odds, the photo of Haymar finally reunited with her family matched the painting she'd hung on Eden's Dream Wall months before. She was first separated from them when she traded rural life for a job in the city as a maid. Unsure about where to turn after escaping from her abusive boss, Haymar accepted the help of a young man...only to learn the 'shelter' he referred her to was a brothel. When Eden met her, Haymar had suffered eight years of traumatic and violent abuse.

Today, Fan’s scissors click with confidence behind a hair salon chair. But just a few years ago, she sat in a brothel on “Justice Street’ silently willing the minutes to tick by faster.

When Eden Outreach met Fan, she had been forced to drop out of school. Lacking job prospects, she followed a boyfriend who promised a life of love and luxury… only to manipulate her into prostitution. Under watchful eyes, we gave her a Christmas gift and our phone number. She soon called, inspired by the opportunity to make jewellery.

At Eden, Fan healed in therapy, trained rescued women in making jewellery just like this piece, and trained as a hairstylist. The cogs of justice have ground to a halt on Justice Street. But as our Outreach team continues to visit this dark area, each step we take is a small cog moving toward changing a broken system.

When someone like Fan starts a new life, the gears turn and the clock hands tick toward a time when justice will prevail. This bracelet features a map of the Justice Street district, with a 'broken clock', to symbolise the incomplete journey to justice.

The Branch of Peace Earrings are asymmetrical with one earring featuring an olive branch and other featuring a bird. Both pendants are 0.4" in length and is made of sterling silver.

When Eden's team discovered a new red light district in the city, they were shocked at how young the girls looked.

From her hiding place behind a car, one of these young women locked eyes with a team member. Enzali had been looking for a job at the bus station when a rickshaw driver said he could employ her as a masseuse. Instead, he took her to a brothel where she was trapped for seven months. We gave her an exit strategy, stealthily wrote our phone number on some ripped paper, and sneaked it into her tiny hand.

Two days later, she called from a taxi with another trafficking victim alongside her! They received a welcome pack of new clothes and living essentials, and immediately began trauma counseling for PTSD. While hopelessness thrives in the trafficking hubs where Eden does weekly Outreach, it is also in these places that hope has the most power.
